Yesterday

2-5

The uncertainties from yesterday all went against us, you live and you learn.  Blake Griffin looks like the real deal, unstoppable in the post, step aside Hansbrough, there’s a new sheriff in town (shades of Matt Leinart, take the cash when you can buddy)

Today’s Picks

this Sac team confuses me, on talent alone, they should be in the middle of the pack, not losing by 20 night in and night out, so on paper, they should be competitive most nights, depending on matchup.  Sac should do well against teams like the Suns where spreading their big men around the perimeter becomes an advantage, but I don’t see that working against the Cavs, Sac will be held under 90 tonight

game of the day should be Spurs at Jazz, Western Conf powerhouse going at it. jazz are like the chargers, tons of talents, disappointing results.  spurs should bounce back from the stomping by the lakers.  Mason, Bonner, Ginobili and Udoku combined 3-19 from downtown that game, not happening again, Duncan’s presence usually creates good looks shooting behind the arch. slight edge to Spurs on this one

San Antonio Spurs pk at Utah 1 units
Cleveland Cavaliers -13.5 vs Sacramento 5 units
Orlando Magic -9 vs Indiana 1 units
Denver Nuggets -6 at Memphis 1 units
Charlotte Bobcats +11 at L.A. Lakers 1 units

Lock of the Century according to my hockey guru:

Florida Panthers -110
vs Flyers

Also take a look at Orlando/Indy under 215, I will be making a play on that personally

might have a college bball game for you later

Dementieva (my pre tourney pick to win it) is closer to a sure thing than Nadal considering that Simon beat Nadal in Spain last year … I’d stay away from Serena she looks flat … my money is on Tsonga tonight though based on value of the lines hes got a bit too much power for verdasco to handle … thoughts JC?

  3. The Degenerate says:

    Tsonga it is. ALL IN!!!!!!

  4. TheRainMaker says:

    just call me the iceman…

  5. ItsAlwaysSunnyInDallas says:

    sigh.

  6. Jimmy Connors says:

Just got back to the hotel room after a night of partying with some Aussie hotties. Wheew. Sorry, I couldn’t give out the locks of the day. I will post tomorrow when i am rejuvenated!

  7. ItsAlwaysSunnyInDallas says:

Was Tsonga at the party? He seems like the type who talks a big game but gets discouraged when there’s the slightest bit of resistance, and then ultimately falls flat on his ass. I don’t know why. I get the feeling he’ll fail like a piece of sh** when you expect him to pull through.

  8. The Fix Is In says:

This little verdasco sh** has cost me a lot of money this tournament!

  9. Jimmy Connors says:

Ya, I saw him there. We were havin drinks. I would not say or call him a POS in front of him… you may not live to breathe again. I might have to take a hiatus until the next Major and just enjoy the semis.

  10. ItsAlwaysSunnyInDallas says:

Great athlete + no heart = risky bet. Tsonga would be quickly exposed if he were a fighter.

Consecutive losses on consecutive nights because of Djokovic and Tsonga. We need a bounceback day fast.

  11. The Fix Is In says:

Didn’t you get a no action because Djok retired?

  12. ItsAlwaysSunnyInDallas says:

    Nah, you did?

  13. Jimmy Connors says:

Tennis bets should be PUSHED if one player retires.

  14. The Fix Is In says:

Well I didn’t take Djok in that match but I had Kuznetsova earlier in the tournament and her opponent retired and got ‘no action’ . what book do you use?

  15. ItsAlwaysSunnyInDallas says:

sportsbook.com. this is news to me.

  16. TheRainMaker says:

sounds like in that situation the books will cancel your bet if you won, and keep it if you lose, makes too much sense, no wonder books are recession-proof
