@eddyvideostar @eddyvideostar I see, thanks for your reply. I just started with a 1500 dollar account. In my first few trades I had errors; risked too much, wrong stops etc. I was simply looking for trades that werent there. I guess i may have a problem scanning, I don`t know how to scan for swing trade set ups. Recently Istarted looking back to my trade log, to avoid errors. I slowly starting to gain some profits. If I emerge with plus by next summer I will increase my account.

To: Bill Hicks420. Dr. Elder is as complete a trading author as one can delve into. He is a psychiatrist and a trader – a good combination, since one has to be emotionally stable and disciplined in regards to proper trading, but, if you read carefully, not even he, initially was immune to a few errors and exiguous discipline. He became a more mature individual, of which one can glean much information. Bid you well.

@johnand5 REDI is what you see and also Lightspeed trading is good for per share vs per trade fees.

what software do you use for trading? Right now I am spending 9.99 a trade.

@sgomez858 Okay thanks for good reply. Yeah I have read books by Alexander Elder, he recommends starting off with swing trading as it is slower, you don`t have to think as fast on your feet – easier for beginners. Also you can do swing trading with less capital since there are less trades per week and so less commissions to pay. How much do you make on average? I`m currently losing money in the market, not sure why… Where did you learn how to trade, can you recommend any forums for swing? THX

  7. sgomez858 says:

@BillHicks420 25k at the minimum for retail accounts. Proprietary traders can trade risk capital for a firm and split profits. Right now, day trading has been better because the swing trading environment has been so volatile with huge overnight moves back and forth. In General, Swing trading can be less intense and less stressful

How much money do you need to day trade? What is easier, day-trade or swing trading?

did you ever get into that FXI on the pullback at around 38? Ive been stuck in it since 43 but im confident in Asia growth and its a long term holding. I hope u got in some i think it will really outperform the US in the future

@dave997 yeah something doesn’t feel right, especially the talk of getting those circuit breakers in place for Monday June 7.

@BayFlow408 we prefer SDS for the short term moves. There is a longer term decay that erodes the real X2 movement due to the ETF having to reset vs SPY each day.

    short this rigged market.
    going down !

  17. BayFlow408 says:

Do you have a tutorial with selling short? I am clawin to bear! on 6:34, I hope that is support. I hope that could be a bounce. FAZ is good to. But that SDS has more volume. If the SPY breaks the support line, at least short or scalp the short ETFs.

I trade based on mostly charts but damn, the news are so bad these days. Definitely good advice there to reduce size in this kind of market.
