But as with everything if there is big returns there is big risk

You can make money on anything in the financial markets.
However, commodities are considered riskier than stocks, because you have greater leverage (that is, you control more commodity for the same amount of money). That means you can make more money, but also lose more money.
Options on commodities are even riskier than commodities themselves. In fact, you could easily (and I do mean easily) double or triple your money on each option. However, you will also lose half your money on some options, and one day soon 99-100% on another option.
You should not enter into this business, no matter what website or book tells you it’s easy money. I would suggest that you start with paper trading commodities first, then switch to actual trading, and after at least a year of success in commodities, begin trading options.
There is no easy way to make money with any financial instrument – if it were that easy, everyone would do it, and then it wouldn’t be profitable anymore. Be extremely careful.
