Question by A B: What is a stock ticker symbol for oil ?
I want to compare the price of oil against another company. The company is a solar company and I want to compare the price of that stock against the price of a barrel of oil. Is there a stock symbol I can use to determine the price of oil and compare it to the solar company against a graph? I know oil is not a stock, it is a commodity. But there should be a symbol for reference.

My intent is to go to yahoo finance, insert both of the symbols on the graph and have them both plotted on the same graph so I can follow the trend.

The name of the index for the price of a barrel of oil is called $WTIC (Light Sweet Crude Oil)

If you just want compare percentage wise, you can use the OIL ETF. I think it follows the price of the barrel of oil very closely.

50 minus the loan gives you 50, then subtract the transaction costs of 0 gives you 20. The bottom line is you put in 00 and got out 20. Divide 20 by 00 = 1.128 which is 12.8%

Of all the people I talk to in the flesh and bone world, almost exclusively it is men who are the ones to discuss anything about money…the value of the dollar, stocks, bonds, funds, commodities, futures…and so on. Yet whenever I try to discuss with women, their eyes usually glaze over. Initially I figured women simply don’t care much like discussing sports. But knowing the difference between under center and the shotgun formation doesn’t really matter in the real world. Knowing about money is very important…and more than just depositing paychecks in the bank and paying bills.

Because I don’t really think a lot of girls care for it.. if they have money they’ll spend it. which is why I’m living my life single so I don’t gotta put up with that bullshit.

return is realised only upon sell……so, annual return does not make sense. do you mean stocks sold after 6 mos. and to annulise the return ?

welllllll…..if dividend is distributed within 6 mos.

earnigs 200 + 4800 =5000 $

interest on loan 4 x 0.01 x 200 x 80 x 0.6 = 384 $

return = 4616 $

annualisation………9232 x100 /( 200 x 80 x 0.4 ) = 144.25 %
