With the 2010 NCAA Tournament tipping off on Thursday, it’s time to start looking at the odds of winning the championship. Take a look today at some favorites, as well as a younger team on the board to consider:

Kansas (+175): The Jayhawks enter the NCAAB Betting opportunities as the favorite, and there’s a reason why. They have gone 32-2 and in the year, and finished the regular season 15-1 in the conference regular season before his bombing through the conference tournament as well.

Deep and talented are the starters Sherron Collins, Cole Aldrich and Xavier Henry, as they will have a bright future in the NBA, all have averaged over double-digit points this season. Morris Twins Marcus and Markieff provide depth underneath, combining to average nearly 12 rebounds per game.

But for all the debate on the Kansas offense that scores in bunches (after all, they do average 85 points per game), they’re underrated defensively, giving up just 63 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot just 38 percent from the field.

Although the odds aren’t very juicy for Kansas, this still can be one of the best bets on the board.

Syracuse (+700): It is obvious that much of this boils down to the health of center Arinze Onuaku, who’s likely to end up on the bench the first weekend of the tournament with an injured quad.

Still, Syracuse is talented and experienced, stormed into the big dance with a record of 28-4 after a season in the superb Big East conference.

The most impressive thing about Syracuse is truly effective is their offense. Cuse finished the 2010 season ranked No. 1 in the country in field goal percentage, making nearly an astonishing 52 percent of their shots.

It will not be an easy bracket for Syracuse, but if they can ship away at the Western Regional, and with a healthy Onuaku, they are as good a bet as any on the board.

Ohio State (+1200): A little further down the board, we find the surging Ohio State, snatching up the No. 2 seed in the Midwest.

The hardest thing for Ohio State is that they’re stuck in a loaded region, interspersed with Kansas and Georgetown as the No. 1 and 3 seeds. But what’s the chance OSU will face both teams?

Regardless, Ohio is hot, having won 13 of their last 14 games, including winning the Big 10 championship tournament this past weekend. They are led by All-American Evan Turner, who does it all, a staggering average of 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists per ballgame. But certainly not alone, as William Buford, Jon Diebler and David Lighty all average for the season in double figures as well.

Georgetown (+2000): The Hoyas may actually be one of the best bets in college basketball among all these bets, entering the tournament as one of the most talented team in the tourney, GT went all the way to the finals of the tournament Big East before losing to West Virginia.

Like Syracuse, Georgetown is one of the most efficient team in the college basketball offensively, ranking No. 4 in field goal percentage. Things will not be easy, but nobody has a stroke better than the big 3 on the Hoyas, featuring future NBA stars Greg Monroe, Austin Freeman and Chris Wright.

If you’re looking to get started on betting the team you’re rooting for in the tourney, here’s some sportsbook bonus that will give you chance to win some cash at no risk. Below are some trusted books to place bets.

Avid sports gamblers likely have heard of stories of people creating foolproof betting systems that have been implemented to lucrative winnings. But the likely hood of some these betting systems that claims to win consistently are suspect. However, many of these sytems I’ve seen on the net do serve a purpose, where some can limit your risk, and some can take your winnings to the next level.

Let’s look at some sports betting systems.

A few of my favorite systems are found here by the sharps at Doc’s Sports. They provided some interesting sports betting systems that work. These systems are tried and tested through time by the professionals, if you want to play like a pro, you might want to check these systems out.

The Parlay System is one of the most famous betting systems that are commonly used in horse racing. Many have said that, unlike other sports, betting systems, the Parlay System has an effect on its profit pyramid which means their profits are played on successive wagers.

Following the philosophy of the pyramid, which occurs in this system is that it makes a bet and if it comes out a winner who reinvest the profits of the next bet. Thus, in horse racing, for example, just Let It Ride. Moreover, unlike other systems of betting, Parlay System offers a smaller amount of risk for all punters of need, as it only deals with a win, place or show selection or a combination of both .

The Martingale system is probably the most famous sports betting system on the planet and really has nothing to do with the choice of the winner of an event, but is more concerned about the likelihood of law and money lines. It seems that the essence of the system is seen in the statistical probabilities of how many times in a row can lose and is implemented by placing a bet and bet again if you win.

On the other hand, if you lose, then bet twice what your original bet. According to proponents of the system, this strategy will allow you to finally win the bet that the place and when you win you would recover all your lost bets plus one unit profit against your initial bet.

Paroli System, all famous sports betting systems, is believed to be the opposite of Martingale. Where lies the difference is in the system than with the Paroli system, begins with a bet and then raise the bet when you win than a loss. This system allows for short-term profit and reduce losses, making it attractive by the fact that you do not have to have much money to use it effectively.

Also check out this Cornell PHD’s sports betting system that wins 97% of the time.
